Parenting and Co-parenting

Individual Parent Support
Parenting has always been a passion for me ever since I trained as a midwife. I am fascinated by the potential of each new being coming into the world and being a part of a family. Becoming a parent, myself, increased this passion and I wrote my MA thesis on parenting.
I am a trained facilitator of several parenting programmes including:
Mellow Parenting Programmes 0 – 5, Mellow Bumps and Mellow Group
Solihull Parenting Programmes
Triple P Group (for parents of children 0 – 12)
Triple P Teen (for parents of teenager 13 – 19)
Triple P Standard – for delivery to individual parents
Triple P Workshops (individual 2-hour workshops, which addresses various themes including sleep, disobedience etc.)
Triple P Transitions – for separated or divorced parents.
Strengthening families, strengthening communities for parents of children 3 – 18
I have facilitated these parenting programmes for many years, and I am director of the company Potential Parenting Limited, which has been commissioned by local authorities to deliver parenting support to parents and families.
Co-parenting
Parenting can be challenging as well as rewarding. Today’s families can sometimes be complex and diverse in their make-up, especially where families have dislocated carers and separated partnerships.
I have developed an approach to enable separated parents to co-parent their children in a more assertive and positive way. The programme focuses on the developmental needs of the child or children, to build greater self-worth and self-esteem. It also offers parents access to tools and skills for developing and enhancing communication methods.
As a psychotherapist, couples counsellor, group facilitator and parenting practitioner I make use of all my expertise, to enable positive, loving and assertive relationships for all the family.
